Previously unknown new jet engine drones have been launched at Russian facilities.

The Russian invaders claim that one of these drones was recently shot down by air defense.

The wreckage of a new, previously unknown jet loitering munition was photographed by Russians and posted on social media.

The drone has a flying wing design, like the Iranian Shahed-136 loitering munition launched from Russia.

The drone’s warhead is equipped with shrapnel for a greater destructive effect, and the engine is a German P400-PRO jet.

JetCat P400-PRO jet engine has a thrust of 43 kg (425 N) and 1.4 liters of fuel consumption per minute (with full load).

The strike drone is made of molded fiberglass, wooden ribs, a carbon frame, and sotoplast.

“It is made very well. It has tags on every element of the airframe and engine with the same numbers,” the Russians say.

The drone also has many components that are freely available in online stores.

The satellite navigation system is used for UAV guidance.

Last year, Oleksandr Kamyshin, Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, said that since August 2023, Ukraine mass-produced its long-range loitering munition like Shaheds.

“We have more than five analogs of the Shahed-131, which are mass-produced. And there is one type, which is the Shahed-136 analog,” the official said at the time.

    It’s made in Ukraine!

    • It is, but not like it had been at the start of the war. The Byraktar will even be produced in Ukraine soon, in the Kyiv region, where there is currently a production facility being build.
