The opposition telegram channel Nexta , citing its sources and the independent channel Belsat , citing its journalists, assert that Lukashenka is now in the very residence near which the protesters were stopped.
Is this really so, we will probably find out if Lukashenka’s motorcade leaves the residence.

Lukashenko did not fly away – he flew to the Palace of Independence
This is stated in the telegram channel of the presidential press service “Pool of the First”. Lukashenka got out of the helicopter with what looked like a rifle or machine gun in his hands.
NEXTA reports that center of Minsk is blocked by the police. Mobile internet is completely shut down in the city.
Pro-Lukashenko Telegram group reported that Lukashenko was spotted in a bulletproof vest with a gun in his hand.

Hundreds of thousands gathered in central Minsk today to protest against incumbent #Belarus President Lukashenko. Later, they went to his residence, where they were met by a large cordon of security forces & armoured carrier. Lukashenko is apparently being evacuated by helicopter.
