The next negotiations are scheduled for January 24
In Abu Dhabi (UAE), the negotiating parties discussed the parameters of ending the war in Ukraine and the further logic of the negotiation process. This was reported by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Rustem Umerov.
“Together with Kirill Budanov, David Arakhamia and Serhiy Kyslytsia took part in a trilateral meeting – the Ukrainian, American and Russian sides. We appreciate American mediation,” he wrote.
According to him, the consultations were attended by Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, Josh Gruenbaum, General Daniel Driscoll, and General Alex Hrynkevich from the US side. The Russian delegation included representatives of military intelligence and the army.Â
“The meeting was dedicated to the parameters of the end of the Russian war and the further logic of the negotiation process with the aim of moving towards a dignified and lasting peace. There will be more meetings tomorrow. The Ukrainian delegation will be joined tomorrow by the Chief of the General Staff, General Andriy Gnatov, and the Deputy Chief of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Vadim Skibitsky,” Umerov added.
He claims that the Ukrainian team is acting in a coordinated manner within the framework of the tasks set by President Zelenskyy and is ready to work in different formats depending on the progress of the dialogue.
A senior White House official told the Public that today’s trilateral meeting in Abu Dhabi between the United States, Ukraine, and Russia was productive. Talks will continue tomorrow.

It looks like the US side added General Alex Hrynkevich to the negotiations and I didn’t know much about him except he supported Ukraine’s efforts and believed Ukraine would win simply because they are the defenders and very fierce fighters.
He has Belarussian heritage but we shouldn’t hold that against him since he was born in Georgia, USA. 🙂
I’m glad he’s not a real estate mogul…he is the new SACEUR Commander in Europe which the media told everyone months ago, Trump was going to abandon that traditionally US post and give it to a European. As usual they were wrong.

And that’s exactly why these rounds of negotiations will get nowhere. And Taco will do virtually nothing to pressure the russian terrorist federation towards a just and lasting peace.
