NATO pilots may appear in Ukrainian skies: one step separates us from this event

13 August 2024

US Senator Lindsey Graham arrived in Kyiv on a visit and brought good news to Ukraine.

The United States has not yet officially responded to the Ukrainian Armed Forces operation in the Kursk region, but perhaps Lindsey Graham arrived in Kyiv for this very purpose.

The American senator said that the Republican Party of the United States, which he represents, approves of the Joint Military Operations in the Russian Federation. The politician’s statements on this matter were full of epithets: he emphasized that he considers the Defense Forces operation to be bold and brilliant.

Lindsey Graham also said that American pilots may appear in the skies of Ukraine. This was reported by the Telegram channel  “Ukraine 365”. The only necessary condition for US pilots to be able to carry out missions in Ukraine is Biden’s decision.

Once it is made, and Lindsey Graham assured that he will personally ask the head of the White House about it, then Ukraine will be able to conclude contracts with American pilots who have already retired.

The senator recalled that Ukraine has a problem with a shortage of F-16 pilots, since more aircraft can be provided than the number of Ukrainian pilots trained so far.

The American politician sees the solution in the US authorities allowing their pilots, who are no longer officially serving in their country, to help Ukraine win the war. If Biden signs the corresponding decree, NATO pilots will defend the skies of Ukraine.

Earlier, Graham called on Biden to transfer Russian assets to Ukraine, and also told what idea made Zelensky “glow”. Let us recall that Senator Graham hinted at the transfer of long-range ATACMS missiles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. 1. “The only necessary condition for US pilots to be able to carry out missions in Ukraine is Biden’s decision.”

    Oh brother!

“Ukraine will be able to conclude contracts with American pilots who have already retired.”

To put this into proper context, Ukraine received a handful of old F-16s and should get a group of old pilots – if the old man in the WH is benevolent and brave enough. All of this wondrous awesomeness might be made possible to fight one of the world’s most dangerous foes.
Now compare this kindergarten sandbox strategy with how we fought the original Nazis in WWII and find the differences.

Oh, brother! I am so deeply ashamed of my country!

Which Republican Party does he represent?
The one led by the Trumpkov/VanZkov/Colby troika?
Or the one that supports Ukraine?
Confusing. Mr Graham himself is a strange enigma. He has visited Kyiv several times and said all the right things, yet last year he did a flip. He met leading Ukrainian-American academic Roman Sheremeta, assured him of his full support, then a few weeks later announced no aid for Ukraine until the border crisis is dealt with. Prof Sheremeta was flabbergasted. But after the aid was unblocked, Graham flipped back again onto the forces of light.

    • I agree. Graham is like a little banner, moving with the wind in every possible direction.

      • He may be guilty of offering false hope. He has no influence in the Dem party and his current position is completely out of kilter with the magaputler shitheads who seem to run the GOP.

        • That is one reason why I don’t place much hope on the things he says. And, relying on Biden for anything like what this article said is like wishing to see Santa Claus.

    • I don’t trust this guy anymore. He has changed so many positions on political issues. A politic weathervane!

These interventions today sound more like ways of blaming Biden than finding realistic solutions to save Ukraine. The timing of his visit with the Trump-Musk Interview in which they blamed Biden for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is no coincidence.

Chase away the natural it comes back at a gallop, Trump yesterday returned to his relations of mutual respect with the Nazi in the Kremlin, as a guarantee of resolving the conflict quickly. Absolute demagoguery of this crazy club.

      • I used to have a lot more respect for the guy. Not anymore. He’s not the worst of the bunch, but not the best one, either.

  3. IMHO I believe there’s too much conspiracy stuff going on. My reasoning is as follows :
    1. Graham like other politicians (both parties) can not be trusted. They all vote for what is in their best interest…thinking otherwise is foolish
    2. Name any senator having pull with a White House occupied by the other party and does not hold a majority in the senate…none! Certainly not in the country we live in now.
    3. What can possibly motivate Graham to publicly support Ukraine in a party that many feel is against Ukraine. It would be far easier to just “get along” but he’s not. I do believe he is one of the few Reagan republicans. See point 1.
    4. At the end of the day I’ll take any ally I can but I wouldn’t trust anyone except my own countrymen and women, obviously, especially women in Ukraine who are equals to any man I know. We all know how valid agreements, associations, treaties are worth…nothing. God helps those who help themselves.
