The German air base in Geilenkirchen, where the alert level was raised last week, was likely threatened by a Russian drone.
According to European Pravda, the DPA agency learned about this from its own sources in the German intelligence services, as reported in the publication Morgenpost .
The agency noted that there were intelligence findings regarding the Geilenkirchen base that considered the threat of a “Russian act of sabotage” to be probable.
The agency learned from sources that German intelligence officers received a serious tip from a foreign intelligence service “about preparatory actions for a probable Russian sabotage act against a NATO base using a drone.”
Last week, NATO headquarters in Brussels, like the air base in Geilenkirchen itself, remained silent about the possible threat.
A base spokesman dismissed the drone claims as “absurd” and Cologne police took over the investigation. Federal prosecutors are not investigating the case.
NATO’s Geilenkirchen air base in North Rhine-Westphalia stepped up security last week over a possible threat, a precautionary measure after US intelligence warned of a possible attack on the base.
After nothing happened, security was lowered again on Friday.

After the soviet union disintegrated, Germany let millions of ruskies into the country, who were supposedly of German origin. It’s almost impossible to believe, but many are still in love with mafia land. They are no friends of democracy, despite having lived for decades in the West. Who knows how many of those cockroaches are willing to spy and do sabotage for their little führer?!
How many more acts of sabotage and terrorism will Germany, Poland, France, the UK and USA endure until they finally cut the ropes from the Ukrainian wrists? Problem is, Politicians are only concerned with themselves and the upper military class wish they were politicians too.
Right. Unless they are affected, nothing much will ever change. But, they are well-protected, paid for by us, the ones in potential danger.
