American billionaire Elon Musk is not against the use of the Starlink system by Ukrainian drones outside Ukraine, in particular during operations on Russian territory. However, this requires an appropriate political decision from the US presidential administration.

As Censor.NET reports, the Financial Times reports this with reference to informed sources.
It is noted that Musk made it clear that he is ready to agree to the use of Starlink terminals by Ukrainian drones outside Ukraine.
However, he stressed that such a permit should be part of a political decision that must be made by the US presidential administration. Therefore, the final decision depends not only on Musk’s position.
Starlink could be important for long-range drones
The Ukrainian military is widely using Starlink for satellite communications. The system allows for communication and data exchange even where traditional infrastructure is damaged or absent.
The use of Starlink outside Ukraine may be of particular importance for long-range drones, as satellite communication is capable of providing data transmission over a significant distance.
If a corresponding decision is made, Ukrainian drones will be able to use Starlink during operations outside the territory of Ukraine.
The decision on Starlink over Russia has not yet been made.
At the same time, what is at stake now is Musk’s willingness to agree to such a scenario, not the permission already granted.
The issue of Ukrainian military access to Starlink has been the subject of discussion on several occasions. Any changes to the terms of use of the system could have implications for the capabilities of Ukrainian unmanned systems.
Amidst Ukraine’s negotiations with Musk regarding the use of satellite communications over Russia, unusual chains of bright objects similar to Starlink satellites have also been spotted over the territory of the Russian Federation in recent days. Джерело: https://censor.net/ua/n4020979
