Billionaire Elon Musk has attacked US Senator, astronaut and veteran Mark Kelly and called him a “traitor” because he supports Ukraine.
“Just left Ukraine. What I saw proved to me that we cannot abandon the Ukrainian people. Everyone wants this war to end, but any agreement must protect the security of Ukraine and cannot be a concession to Putin,” Kelly said on social media X, where he shared his trip.
In the comments under the post, he noted that the war in Ukraine “started with Putin thinking it would be a three-day operation to seize Kyiv and control all of Ukraine,” but that did not happen. And the reason for this was, in particular, support from the United States and other countries. Kelly emphasized that ending that support now “puts at risk everything that so many Ukrainians gave their lives for.”
“The suspension of military aid has only made Ukraine’s fight with Russia more difficult. They are running out of certain weapons that have already traveled most of the way to Ukraine. Stopping the transfer of these weapons will only help the Russians. The Russians will become more confident and will try to get a tougher agreement in the ceasefire negotiations. It is not difficult. We must negotiate from a position of strength,” the senator added.
Billionaire Elon Musk, commenting on the report, called Senator Kelly a “traitor.” However, the official was quick to respond:
“Traitor? Elon, if you don’t understand that defending freedom is the core principle of what makes America great and keeps us safe, maybe you should leave it to those who do,” Mark Kelly said .
