The billionaire warned against a possible Russian attack on Starlink

Starlink could be a target for a Russian strike if the satellites are used for offensive attacks, and their destruction would threaten not only communications but also safety in orbit, American billionaire Elon Musk wrote on the social network X.
In particular, he responded to a post about the Russians’ ability to destroy satellites in orbit. In particular, the post mentioned the test of the Russian anti-satellite weapon, which was carried out on November 15, 2021. Then Russia launched the Nudol missile and eliminated its old satellite.
“This is really one of the main reasons why Starlink should remain a civilian project. It can be used for military infrastructure, but it cannot be used for clearly offensive strikes that make it a legitimate target for retaliation,” Musk noted.
He believes that if an adversary were to blow up Starlink satellites, it would cause a chain reaction of destruction, creating a huge debris field and rendering space unusable.
Starlink during the war in Ukraine – latest news
Musk previously admitted that he had restricted the use of Starlink in Ukraine . According to him, the Ukrainian military allegedly violated the terms of use of Starlink by “using it to carry out strikes with drones with the aim of killing people.”
“The use of Starlink – a civilian commercial service – to launch drone strikes to kill people has never been and should not be allowed. Starshield is another system controlled by the US government. Deciding how to use it is their business,” Musk noted.Advertising
At the same time, Zelensky responded to Musk’s accusations about Starlink. Advisor to the President of Ukraine on the development of technological areas of defense, Serhiy (Flash) Beskrestnov, emphasized that the Armed Forces of Ukraine physically cannot use commercial Starlink for deep strikes and middle strikes.
“It is very strange that Elon Musk does not know about the restrictions on Starlink operations in Ukraine. Starting from the winter of 2026, all Starlink terminals over the territory of Ukraine (including occupied territories) have a speed limit of 70-90 km/h. And Starlink does not operate over the territory of Russia,” he explained.

Musk is worried someone will attack his Starlink system but its not the person he has called to be replaced…
