On the night of March 28, explosions were heard in the Yaroslavl region of the Russian Federation. The Yaroslavl Oil Refinery was hit by drones there: multiple hits were recorded.
After the flights arrived, a fire broke out at the refinery. The consequences of the attack were reported on the Telegram channels Exilenova+ and CyberFlour.
What is known
Exilenova+ first wrote about the drone attack on the Yaroslavl Oil Refinery (other names are “Yaroslavnefteorgsintez”, “Slavneft-YANOS”) at 2:20 a.m.

“Yaroslavl is under attack by UAVs, a series of explosions in the city, air defense is working,” the message said.
Later, it became known that it had flown to an oil refinery, and footage of a fire on the territory of the enterprise began to appear on the Internet.

“The defense forces visited the Yaroslavl Oil Refinery (Yaroslavnefteorgsintez, YANOS) with a sanctioned UAV, which is among the top 5 in terms of capacity in Russia and can process more than 15 million tons of oil per year,” Exilenova+ said.

Some photos show that several fire outbreaks have occurred on the territory of the enterprise.

Several burning areas are also confirmed by NASA FIRMS satellites: as Falcon Insight writes, they confirm damage directly on the territory of the oil refinery.

The OSINT community “CyberBoroshno” reported “numerous hits by FP-1 drones on the Yaroslavl Oil Refinery.”
The community also analyzed the video and concluded that the drones did not take a direct route, but entered from the northwest, flying over the entire city.
“As a result of the attack, burning is observed in three separate zones, in particular: (1) burning of petroleum products in the area of the overpass or production facility; (2) burning of gases due to hitting the technological facility or overpass. Since the flare facility is out of the frame, its regular operation, which could visually resemble such burning of gases, is excluded in this case ; (3) the tank farm of finished products and intermediate production components. Due to the lack of a sufficient number of frames from different angles, it is difficult to accurately identify which installations were hit,” the message states.

Local governor Mikhail Yevraev, meanwhile, did not mention the burning refinery. At around 05:30, he said that over 30 drones had allegedly been “neutralized” over the region. The only consequences, according to the official, were damage to several residential buildings and a commercial facility.

He also announced the “dead and injured.”

As OBOZ.UA reported, drones recently attacked the Kirish Oil Refinery, causing a fire.
One of Russia’s key refineries was hit. According to some reports, it is the second largest oil refinery in the Russian Federation.

So, back to refineries! Can’t wait to see better videos and images from this attack.
3 very nice burning pics can be seen in my Euromaidan post today.
It would interesting to know the collateral effect on local employment. I read refineries employ 200-5k workers. How long are they out, are they still piad, etc.. and how far/long do these ripples last…
