The answer “yes” was chosen by 58.5% of respondents. Only 22.1% of respondents answered “no”, and slightly less, 19.4% of people noted that they do not have a definite opinion on this matter.
What is interesting is that the “yes” option was chosen more often by women – 60.8% of respondents versus 20% who chose the “no” answer. Of the men, 55% of respondents supported the idea of shooting down air targets in the skies over Poland (versus 24.4% who did not support this idea).
As OBOZ.UA reported, the White House was the first to speak out against Poland’s shooting down of Russian missiles over Ukraine.
“We want to look for ways for Ukraine to be effective, but we don’t want escalation. That would be bad for the Ukrainians, that would be bad for the Poles,” John Kirby, the coordinator for strategic communications at the US National Security Council, explained the US position.
