Over the weekend of March 14-15, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a massive attack on Moscow. Between approximately  12:30 PM Saturday and  11:30 AM Sunday, 95 drones were shot down while approaching the Russian capital, according to Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. Thirty drones were intercepted by air defense forces after midnight. Rosaviatsiya imposed restrictions on incoming and outgoing flights at Domodedovo, Vnukovo, Sheremetyevo, and Zhukovsky airports. They resumed normal operations after 11:30 AM. At that time, 37 flights were delayed: 17 to Vnukovo, 13 to Domodedovo, and seven to Sheremetyevo.

The drone attack on Moscow was the largest since the beginning of the year. A similar attack occurred a year ago, on the night of March 11th:  91 drones were shot down while approaching the capital, killing three people in the Moscow region. Neither Sobyanin nor the Ministry of Defense reported the consequences of this latest attack. According to Mash and Shot, drones were spotted in Moscow’s Troitsky District, near the Central Ring Road, and in the Moscow region towns of Istra, Korolev, Dubna, Ramenskoye, and Volokolamsk. The Russian capital was previously attacked on March 8th, when Sobyanin reported six drones shot down.
