Zakharova stated that Russia’s position has long been “clearly defined.”

Moscow has stated that it is too early to talk about the negotiation process on the issue of ending the war against Ukraine.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova was asked whether Russia could make the end of arms supplies to Ukraine a condition for starting talks. She responded that the Kremlin has been calling for this “all these years”:

“We are saying that the supplies must be stopped, that the continuation of the conflict is connected with the continuing supplies. It is simply too early to talk about any specific negotiation process.”

Zakharova added that Russia’s position has long been “clearly defined”; Kremlin leader Putin has spoken about his vision for a settlement in June 2024.
