Moscow claimed on Wednesday that Washington and London helped Ukraine orchestrate an unprecedented strike on the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in annexed Crimea last week.
“There is not the slightest doubt that the attack was planned in advance using Western intelligence assets, NATO satellite equipment, and reconnaissance aircraft,” Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
The missile strike was carried out “in close coordination with the American and British intelligence services,” she added.
Ukraine claimed responsibility for a missile attack that on Friday struck the headquarters of Moscow’s Black Sea Fleet in annexed Crimea, sparking a huge fire.
Moscow said that the attack left one Russian serviceman missing, while Kyiv claimed that the strike killed thirty-four officers including the fleet commander, Viktor Sokolov.
Moscow has however denied the claim. Undated footage broadcast Wednesday by the Russian defence ministry’s Zvezda TV channel showed Sokolov saying that the Black Sea Fleet was “fulfilling the tasks the command has set.”

The bike blames the US and UK for helping Ukraine, which they have never denied, but the only way Ukraine or anyone would know that the building would be full of officers, is by Ukrainian spies in Crimea. If I was her, I would be asking how Storm Shadows flew into the HQ of the Black Sea fleet totally unhindered, in broad daylight?
For the first two years of WW2, Britain fought alone against two huge fascist allies: Germany and Russia.
Until we could get our manufacturing up to speed, we were dependent on donated materiel from the US. Much of it was obsolete or substandard.
Then Stalin switched sides and Japan joined the axis powers.
It took another four years for the combined efforts of the US, UK, Can and Aus to finish off the Germans and imperial Japan.
Yet the Ukrainians are expected to fight a gigantic fascist power with twice the resources of Germany alone, but with mainly 30 years old kit?
Hardly seems fair does it?
The west must forget any idea of negotiations with a genocide gang and get on with the job of crushing the vile putler.
