More than 70% of unguided projectiles and guided air missiles launched by the Russian Federation do not reach the target – General Staff

More than 70% of the unguided projectiles and guided air missiles launched by the Russian Federation over Ukraine do not reach their target, in particular, they hit the field, the sea or outside the location of Ukrainian troops, said the deputy chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksiy Gromov.

“Our actions testify to the rather high efficiency of the existing air defense system and the skill of the combat staff of anti-aircraft missile systems. The vast majority of airstrikes carried out by the enemy do not reach their target. More than 70% of unguided projectiles and guided air missiles hit the field, the sea or outside the location of our troops, which indicates a reliable air defense system, as well as the reluctance of Russian pilots to enter the zone of damage of our air defense assets and risk their lives in order to carry out the criminal orders of their leadership,” Gromov said at a briefing at the “Ukraine” Media Center in Kyiv on Thursday.

According to him, since the beginning of hostilities, the Russian Armed Forces have carried out 6,443 sorties of operational-tactical aviation, and 626 strikes have been made by “Iskander” and “Kalibr” cruise missiles. Only on July 5, the enemy used 27 missiles against critical infrastructure objects, civilian and military objects, as well as 14 airstrikes against military infrastructure objects, areas, positions of Ukrainian troops.

  1. Such as miss-rate is incredibly high. But, I don’t mind … and, I’m sure the potential victims don’t either.
