Missile strike on Yuzhny: Russians destroyed grain for Asia and Africa

One of the damaged terminals belongs to the world famous Singaporean company Delta Wilmar.

The ballistic strike that the Russian occupiers struck on the seaport of Yuzhny (Odessa region) on April 19 destroyed agricultural products destined for the countries of Asia and Africa.

According to the Ministry of Reconstruction of Ukraine, today there was another attempt by Russia to destroy the port infrastructure and stop the export of agricultural products.

“The missile attack destroyed containers with agricultural products that were supposed to be exported to countries in Asia and Africa. Two terminals in the Yuzhny port, which specialize in transshipment of agricultural products, were attacked. One of the terminals belongs to the world-famous Singaporean company Delta Wilmar, which operates in Ukraine since 2004 and also owns several factories for processing agricultural products. This is more than $300 million in investments and almost 1,000 jobs,” the ministry notes.

It is said that the aggressive army of the Russian Federation carried out the 39th attack on the port infrastructure of the Odessa region. 215 objects, 153 vehicles, 8 civilian ships have already been damaged and partially destroyed, and 26 civilians have been injured.

According to the press service of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor’s Office, on the afternoon of April 19, the Russian armed forces launched missile attacks on the Odessa region – the enemy hit the port infrastructure. There was a fire. The inspection of the scene of the incident is currently ongoing and a full list of destruction and damage is being established.

An investigation has been launched into violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Ballistic strike on the Odessa region on April 19

On April 19, the Russian occupation army once again attacked the Odessa region with ballistic missiles. The port infrastructure was damaged. A man was injured and was hospitalized with a shrapnel wound.

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, in his speech at an extraordinary meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council, said that Russian invaders attacked the Yuzhny seaport. In particular, several missiles hit Singaporean and Ukrainian port facilities. The head of state emphasized that Russian terrorists strike our country every day and every night in different cities and communities. He emphasized that cities such as Kharkov, Odessa, Sumy, Chernigov, Nikolaev, Kherson, Dnieper and others do not have reliable protection from Russian terrorists.
