The occupiers attacked a civilian facility in a walking area where many civilians walk every day.

During a rocket attack on Odessa on the evening of April 29, during which ex-People’s Deputy Sergei Kivalov was injured , the Russian occupiers specifically targeted a crowded area. Military-political commentator Alexander Kovalenko, who permanently resides in Odessa, stated this in his telegram .

“You can have different attitudes towards Kivalov, but the fact remains that the occupiers struck a civilian target in broad daylight, in a walking area where Odessa residents walk every day. Whether Kivalov himself was the target, I cannot say, but innocent civilians died and suffered people. “Harry Potter’s” castle (palace of students of the law academy – UNIAN) is not a military facility! – the analyst emphasizes.

He emphasizes that in this place there is not only “Harry Potter’s castle.” There is a lot of other civil infrastructure around – restaurants, a beach, bike paths, residential buildings.

“A ballistic missile with a cluster warhead was purposefully targeted at a crowded area!” – said the expert.

Missile attack on Odessa on April 29

As UNIAN reported, on the evening of April 29, Russian invaders launched a missile strike on Odessa , according to preliminary data, with an Iskander-M missile with a cluster warhead. At first it was known about 8 wounded, but subsequently the number of victims increased sharply. As of 20.25, 20 wounded were reported, including a 12-year-old child.

The notorious ex-head of the Central Election Commission (in 2004) and former Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Party of Regions, Sergei Kivalov, was injured and was hospitalized. Two deaths were also immediately reported; another victim later died in the hospital. On the coast, a dog with whom the owner was walking in the embankment area also died.

There is damage to residential buildings and civilian infrastructure. There was a hit, including the Palace of Students of the National University “Odessa Academy of Law”, which the population calls “Harry Potter’s Castle” because of the unusual shape of the building.
