The death toll from the missile attack on Chernigov continues to rise, with a 25-year-old police lieutenant among those killed by Russia.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klimenko first reported 11 dead in his Telegram channel .
“11 dead, 22 injured as of now. There are reports of at least three missing,” the minister said.

Klimenko emphasized that there are still people under the rubble.

“The search and rescue operation continues. Psychologists are working with the victims,” the official noted.
He said that among those killed as a result of Russian shelling was a 25-year-old police lieutenant.
“The woman lived in a neighboring house and was at home on sick leave. She had a fatal shrapnel wound,” the minister noted.
In turn, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Aleksey Kuleba said that 50 victims are now known, of which three are children.
“An eight-story building was destroyed, four high-rise buildings, a hospital, a higher education institution, and dozens of cars were damaged,” he said.
