Minerals deal would give Ukraine ‘right to fight on’ – Trump

According to the American president, Ukraine and the United States have almost agreed on an agreement.

Ukraine will receive “the right to continue fighting” and “a lot of weapons and military equipment” from the minerals agreement , US President Donald Trump said, CNN reports .

When the American leader was asked what Ukraine would get from the deal, Trump replied:

“350 billion dollars (perhaps this is a debt for the aid provided, but the US President did not specify – UNIAN) and a lot of equipment, military hardware and the right to continue fighting.”

Ukraine and the US have almost agreed on a deal on minerals and “many other things,” Trump said.

At the same time, he stressed that the United States will consider the issue of Ukraine’s future security “later.”

“I talked to Russia about this. They seemed to have no problem with it. So I think they understand… once we do this, they will not come back,” the American president believes.

Trump also commented on Zelensky’s visit to the United States:

“I heard that (Zelensky – UNIAN) is coming on Friday. Of course, I am not against it if he wants, and he wants to sign it together with me. And I understand that this is a big deal, a very big deal.”

Minerals Agreement – Latest News

Earlier, the Financial Times reported that Ukraine and the US had agreed on the details of a minerals agreement. According to FT sources, the partners managed to agree on much more favorable terms of the contract.

At the same time, CNN wrote that the US is resisting the inclusion of security guarantees in the minerals agreement. The publication’s source noted that Kyiv has removed the most problematic points from the draft agreement and hopes that they will be discussed during the meeting between Presidents Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump.

  1. Trump wants a quick deal to end this war, yet wants Ukraine to cut a deal so they will have the ability to fight on. That’s a contradiction if I ever saw one. If Ukraine sign any deal, what’s to stop the US from reneging on it? Any courts involved will be in the US, so Ukraine would have no chance in any dispute.

    • Agreed. Not seeing the agreement no telling what the hell is in it. Asking Russia’s permission is pure bullshit.

    • “If Ukraine sign any deal, what’s to stop the US from reneging on it?”

      trumpkov’s honor.
      😂😂😂😂😂
      😭😭😭

  2. “The US government supports Ukraine’s efforts to obtain the security guarantees necessary to create a lasting peace,” the prime minister added.

The deal is without security quarantees.

  3. trumpkov stressed that the United States will consider the issue of Ukraine’s future security “later.”

“I talked to Russia about this. They seemed to have no problem with it. So I think they understand…”

…that once we get this signed, we’re throwing Ukraine under the bus.

  4. “The right to continue fighting”
Ukraine does NOT need the orange ignoramus’ permission to keep fighting, but the continued supply of U.S. weaponry can help make Ukraine’s fight have a greater impact on the battlefield.

    • I was thinking the same thing. What a screwed up thing to say. But, that’s what the orange man child is famous for.
