According to Sikorsky, the French President’s idea of sending troops to Ukraine deserves support.
Military personnel of some NATO member countries are already on the territory of Ukraine.
This was stated by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski during a discussion on the topic of 25 years of Poland’s membership in the Alliance. However, the diplomat refused to name specific countries and their number.
“Unlike other politicians, I will not list these countries,” Sikorsky said.
Also, Poland’s chief diplomat supported the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron to send NATO troops to Ukraine, because this is an “inventive move” that will disrupt Russia’s planned scenario.
According to him, by attacking Ukraine, Russia showed that it is civilizationally incapable of accepting Western values and cannot peacefully coexist with its neighbors. Therefore, according to Sikorsky, NATO should return to its original role.
