The liberation of Kherson, occupied by Russian troops, can occur only as a result of counter-offensive actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was stated in an interview with UNIAN by the expert of the Center for the Study of the Army, Conversion and Disarmament Mikhail Samus.
Thus, he commented on the words of the adviser to the head of the Office of the President Alexei Arestovich that the Russian Federation was allegedly preparing Kherson for defense and further surrender .
“The Russians really understand that at any moment the Armed Forces of Ukraine can launch an offensive, and they must retreat. It is very problematic to retreat there. If you look at the map, there is only one bridge for this. All troops should be withdrawn through it. It can be assumed that they have already withdrawn troops over the Dnieper and prepared for surrender. Perhaps this was meant,” Samus explained.
According to the expert, if Ukrainian troops liberate Kherson, cross the Antonovsky bridge to the Novaya Kakhovka area, they will be able to threaten the logistics, supplies and reinforcements of the enemy from the territory of the occupied Crimea.
Earlier today, the General Staff said that Russian troops are further trying to gain a foothold on the administrative borders of the Kherson region – this is evidenced by the latest actions of the enemy.

I dont get it: Why all the roads with Crimea are still not destroyed??
They simply must retake Kherson.
But they know that of course. NFZ would help massively.
IMO there should be no green corridor, they should be forced to turn themselves in or get shot.
If Ukraine destroys the Antonovsky Bridge, the rats would be trapped and this would be another major defeat for mafia land. The next bridge is about 40 or 50 km away.
