Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev said that the war against Ukraine is going “according to Putin’s plan.”

He stated this in an interview with propagandists from RIA Novosti.

Medvedev refused to give his assessment of the course of hostilities, but simply quoted the Russian president when he justified a full-scale attack on Ukraine.

According to Medvedev, the “special operation” in Ukraine will last until the “goals” set by Putin are achieved.

“These goals relate to the future of Ukraine, the status of Ukraine as a neutral state. A state that is not militarized. And a state that is our normal neighbor. (A state that – ed.) Should be our normal neighbor. “and the ‘denazification’ of Ukraine, the ‘special operation’ should continue accordingly, as it was intended by the president of the country,” Medvedev said.

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, the occupying forces have not been able to capture Kyiv by blitzkrieg. In this connection, the enemy focused on the bombing of settlements, terrorizing the local population.

There are big problems in logistics, the supply of food and fuel for the Russian troops.

In addition, Russia suffered heavy losses in manpower, which prompted Putin to seek help in replenishing the offensive from the CSTO countries and Syria.

Nevertheless, the invaders did not abandon the capture of Kyiv and continue active fighting in the vicinity of the capital.
