Some of the soldiers from the so-called “South Ossetia” refused to take part in combat action on the territory of Ukraine and have returned to Tskhinvali.
According to Mediazona: “According to our source, nearly 300 people returned to the ‘republic’ [of South Ossetia].”
Details: Mediazona describes the unfolding of the events and has access to an audio recording in which one soldier is apparently describing what was happening during the war:
“They took us and they wanted us to die and our command to receive hero awards. One guy died there, many people have died. They were fired on, then they retreated. One guy was totally mined. He died when the infantry group retreated.”
