Restaurants will resume work in the capital and in the western part of the country.

The American corporation  McDonald’s has decided to open part of its restaurants in Ukraine.

This was reported by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba on his page on the social network Facebook .

“I welcome the decision of McDonald’s to reopen part of the restaurants in Ukraine. First it will be Kyiv and the western part of our country. Preparations for the direct opening of the doors of restaurants will take some more time. But the main thing is that there is a political decision: Mac is back,” he wrote.

The minister noted that the return of a large American company to Ukraine is of great importance, because it is, first of all, a signal for international business that it is possible to work in Ukraine even during the war.

“These are jobs and taxes to the Ukrainian budget, the survival of our economy in times of Russian aggression. This, after all, is part of the restoration of Ukraine,” Kuleba stressed.

The official statement from the company said that their employees expressed a strong desire to return to work.

“Over the next few months, we will work with partners to rebuild restaurant supply chains, prepare restaurants for customer service, return the restaurant team and employees to a working environment, and implement enhanced procedures and protocols to keep our people and customers safe,” says McDonald’s Facebook page .
