Massive Ukrainian Drone Attack on moscow and region

11.03.2025

On the night of Tuesday, March 11, the Moscow region of the Russian Federation complained about a massive attack by dozens of drones and numerous
explosions . As a result of a “successful” action by Russian electronic warfare (EW) forces, a high-rise building in the Moscow region was breached, and a victim and injured were reported there.

The authorities of the aggressor country claimed that their air defenses shot down almost seven dozen drones moving towards the capital. At the same time, several airports in Moscow and elsewhere stopped operating due to the attack.

Local media reports that at around 5:00 a.m. a drone flew into a high-rise building in Ramenskoye: a fire broke out in an apartment on the top floor, but no one was injured.

The Russians also wrote that drones damaged several high-rise buildings in Vidne: “a drone allegedly punched a large hole in the roof of one of them.”

“One of the drones crashed into a private house in the cottage village of Vysoky Bereg. Debris from one of the drones damaged a high-rise building on Domodedovskaya Street in Moscow. In Domodedovo, debris from the UAV fell into the local parking lot of Miratorg. A major fire broke out there. More than 20 cars were previously damaged,” the propagandists indicated.

For his part, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said the opposite: he urged Russians not to panic over the loud explosions, claiming that the Russian air defense systems had “shot down all the drones.” He only confirmed that during the fall of debris on Domodedovskaya Street in the capital, “the roof of a house was slightly damaged.”

Meanwhile, the governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, claims that in the Moscow region “one person was killed and three were injured as a result of a UAV attack.”

Against the backdrop of powerful explosions in the capital region, Rosaviatsia immediately imposed restrictions on the reception and release of aircraft at Moscow’s Zhukovsky and Domodedovo airports. The same restrictions were applied at Nizhny Novgorod’s Strigino airport and Yaroslavl’s Tunoshnaya airport.

As of Tuesday morning, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the “shooting down of 69 drones” that were flying towards the capital of the aggressor country.

“Due to the crooked Russian electronic warfare, unknown UAVs are flying over cottages. In general, it’s fun on the outskirts of Moscow today. Holes in the roof, rockets from the armor in the yards,” the Ukrainian Telegram channel monitor commented on the events in the Russian Federation.

As OBOZ.UA reported, on the night of March 2, Atesh agents set fire to a military unit in the Moscow region of the Russian Federation. The partisans destroyed a transport carrying Russian soldiers right under the noses of a military patrol.
