Massive train delays and power outages: consequences of night strike on Ukraine become known (photo)

A number of Ukrainian regions were under Russian air attack, each of which has consequences for the arrivals.

On the night of September 3, the Russians launched a massive strike on a number of Ukrainian regions, as a result of which Ukrzaliznytsia facilities were damaged, and thousands of Ukrainians were left without electricity.

In particular, as reported by the head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration (OVA), Andriy Raykovych, in the city of Znamyanka, Kirovohrad region, Ukrzaliznytsia facilities were damaged and 5 people were injured as a result of a drone attack.

“Work is underway in Znamenka to eliminate the consequences of an enemy drone attack. 28 residential buildings were damaged, one was completely destroyed. The main fire centers have been localized,” the OVA noted.

In addition, there have been fires in private homes. The community is currently without electricity.

“Ukrzaliznytsia”  reported that four railway workers were injured in the strike in the Kirovohrad region and were hospitalized. More than 20 trains, including international ones, are delayed due to damage to the railway:

In Ivano-Frankivsk region, the aggressor country targeted an infrastructure facility,  said  Svitlana Onyshchuk, head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Administration. She added that there is currently no information about casualties.

The State Emergency Service (SES) added that rescuers are extinguishing a large-scale fire that broke out in warehouses.

And in Nizhyn, Chernihiv region,  in the morning, the occupiers struck a critical infrastructure facility, as a result of which the city was partially left without electricity and water,  according  to a statement from the Nizhyn City Council.

As detailed by the head of the Chernihiv OVA, Vyacheslav Chaus, more than 30 thousand households in the Nizhyn district were left without electricity.

The head of the Khmelnytskyi OVA, Serhiy Tyurin, also shared data on the night attack by the occupiers on the region. According to him, the region was attacked with missiles and drones twice – at night and in the morning.

“Air defense forces were working. There are downings, but there is also damage. Fortunately, there has been no information about injuries or deaths so far,” he detailed.

Tyurin added that as of now, there is information about a fire in the garage complex, a trolleybus has been damaged, windows in residential buildings have been broken, and non-residential premises have been damaged.

In addition, a high-rise building was damaged in a hostile attack in Vyshgorod, Kyiv region . According to the National Police, a car caught fire near the high-rise building due to falling debris. 

“There is currently no information about the victims,” ​​the National Police noted.

Night strike on Ukraine

On the night of September 3, the invaders launched a massive strike on Ukraine. The enemy attacked several regions at once.

The Air Force reported that the Russians used strike drones and air- and sea-based missiles in the strike. In total, the Air Force detected and escorted 526 air attack assets during the strike.
