Massive fire in a battery warehouse in Tatarstan: “Alabuga” is burning, where “Shaheeds” are assembled

On Friday, November 28, a large-scale fire unexpectedly broke out in the Alabuga special economic zone in Tatarstan, Russia, where, among other things, the “Shaheeds” are produced, with which the Russian Federation attacks Ukraine daily. A battery storage warehouse is on fire.

Local media and Telegram channels are reporting on this. Photos from the scene have also been posted online.

Local media reports that over 300 staff members evacuated on their own. There is currently no information about any injuries.

  1. The ASTRA Telegram channel initially reported that a 1,000-square-meter battery storage warehouse was on fire. It later added that the fire had spread and was now consuming 5,000 square meters.
