Due to the falling debris of the downed drone, several populated areas lost power.
At night, the Russian army, using kamikaze drones and various types of missiles, launched another attack on the southern regions of Ukraine.

The head of the joint press center of the Defense Forces of southern Ukraine, Natalya Gumenyuk, spoke about this during the telethon. According to her, this night Russian terrorist troops once again sent several waves of attack UAVs of the “Shahed-131/136” type to the southern regions. The energy infrastructure of the Odessa region and the agro-industrial capacities of the Kherson region were again in the enemy’s sights.
According to her, the aggressor resorted to combined tactics, testing air defense systems first with drones, then with missiles.
“During the drone attack in our area of responsibility, we also observed enemy missile strikes. In particular, the enemy sent an Iskander-M type ballistic missile to the Kherson region, and from tactical aircraft from the Black Sea – X-59, a guided aircraft a rocket…” said Gumenyuk.
She noted that the drone attack was focused on the energy sector of the Odessa region. The intense combat work of the Air Defense Forces lasted about 2 hours.
“The enemy attacked the Odessa region extensively. All 8 drones were shot down,” the spokeswoman added.
According to the Defense Forces, the fall of debris from a downed drone caused a fire at one of the region’s power facilities, and several settlements were cut off. The fire has now been extinguished. No people were injured. Restoration work is underway.
According to Gumenyuk, according to preliminary data, due to a short circuit, up to 170 thousand subscribers were left without power supply.
As the Southern Defense Forces added , in the Kherson region, in parallel, during a drone attack, the Russians used both ballistics and a guided aircraft missile. The invaders hit a mothballed agricultural enterprise. No people were hurt.
“Obviously, the enemy tried to hit certain targets with missiles, but still the hit occurred in an open area. The very fact that the enemy combines drone attacks, ballistic attacks and using an air-launched missile indicates an attempt to deplete air defense systems and gain any victories in a combined way “, says Gumenyuk.
