Massive attack on Kyiv: death toll rises, father and 5-year-old daughter among victims

According to the KMVA, the youngest victim of the enemy attack was only 11 months old.

A hostile attack on Kyiv on the night of March 23 claimed the lives of at least three people. Among the victims is a child, KMVA reports .

Several districts of the capital were affected by the attack of enemy UAVs and the fall of debris from downed air targets. In particular, a downed “shaheed” fell in the Podilskyi district. It is noted that the fall occurred in an industrial zone, no damage was recorded. However, a fire broke out on the 20th floor of a residential building in the same district. The fire has been extinguished. 

A fire broke out on the upper floors of a 9-story residential building in the Dnipro district. The fire has been extinguished. Damage was also recorded to a public catering establishment (no fire), debris fell onto a high-rise building (no fire), and damage was reported to an apartment on the 6th floor of a 16-story residential building (window, floor, and ceiling).

In the Holosiivskyi district, falling debris and a fire were recorded in a non-residential area – in a 4-story office and warehouse building, with an area of ​​2,000 sq. m., as well as a fire in a metal container.

In Desnyanskyi district, debris fell in a forest park strip, and in Shevchenkivskyi district, debris fell in a residential area, damaging 6 cars.

“According to available information, 3 people died, including a 5-year-old child. Another 10 were injured. Among the dead were a father and his young daughter. And the youngest victim of the Russian attack was only 11 months old,” the KMVA noted.

Updated at 10:22. At the same time, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that the Kyiv region continues to eliminate the consequences of a massive night attack by enemy UAVs.

“The air alert lasted almost 6 hours. Air defense forces were operating in the region. Enemy targets were shot down,” KOVA noted.

Thus, in the Buchansky district, a woman born in 1997 and a man born in 1976 were injured. “The victims were diagnosed with minor injuries from shrapnel and an acute stress reaction. All necessary assistance was provided on the spot. They were not hospitalized,” the report says.

Also, four private houses and a car were damaged in the Buchansky district of the region.

In addition, in the Brovary district, a fire at an enterprise caused by falling debris from a downed enemy target was extinguished. The windows of a private house were damaged. At the same time, a grassy field fire was extinguished in the Bila Tserkva district.

KOVA noted that all operational services continue to work to record the consequences of the enemy attack.
