Tens of thousands of Georgians marched through Tbilisi on May 11 in the latest display of opposition to legislation that would affect the work of foreign-backed NGOs. Earlier demonstrations were met with a violent police crackdown, but the May 11 protest appeared to proceed peacefully. Originally published at – https://www.rferl.org/a/georgia-prote…

These are massive protests: half the population of Tbilisi!
It appears that Ivanishvili’s goons; aka the police, were ordered this time not to beat opposition figures up.
They were also ordered not to deploy water cannons this time.
It seems like the Georgians are going at it vehemently this time. I wish them lots of strength, luck, safety, and success.
