It is noted that cases of fraud related to the collection of money under the pretext of providing assistance to flood victims have become more frequent in the region.

“Now scammers have become more active, posting information on the Internet about the accounts of citizens who allegedly suffered from the flood, and asking to transfer funds there,” said Alexey Ovsyannikov, head of the information and public relations department of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

He called on residents of the region to be careful, not to fall for the tricks of scammers and to rely on information published in official sources.

The publication recalls that earlier city residents said that they could not leave the flooded areas because of looters.

“They say, evacuate, please, but they are brazenly taking it away from us. “Red and White” was robbed, they climbed into the houses from boats, which are supposedly spectators, come up and simply rob the houses,” said a resident of the 6th microdistrict of Orsk.
