US President Donald Trump has once again spoken of his desire to annex Greenland to the United States, promising billions in investment, new jobs and economic growth for the island.
“We will continue to keep you safe, as we have done since World War II. We are prepared to invest billions of dollars to create new jobs and make you rich,” Trump wrote on his social network Truth Social.
The American leader added that Greenland could join the United States if it wanted:
“If you want, you can be part of the most beautiful country in the world, the United States.”
