He calls the existing international order unjust.

French President Emmanuel Macron said that after the war in Ukraine, relations with the Russian Federation should be reconsidered .

“We will have to think about a new way of organizing Europe and rethink our relations with Russia after the war. We must have enough imagination to think about the peace of tomorrow, about the peace in Europe in a new form,” Le Monde quoted him as saying .

According to the French leader, it is necessary to take into account the reconciliation with the Balkans and the reality of Europe in its geographical form, “which is neither fully European Union nor fully NATO”. He says the current international order is unfair because “many of the most populous countries did not exist when the seats were allocated.”Video of the day

“We need an order where certain countries cannot block others, where countries are represented with dignity, and so we need to do that with much fairer bodies, whether it’s the United Nations, the World Bank or the International Monetary Fund. I’ll go back to this issue at the UN this week,” Macron added.

Macron’s position on the war

As you know, at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the French president called to prevent the “humiliation of Russia” in order to maintain diplomatic relations with it.

However, over time, his statements became more decisive. For example, Macron does not rule out sending troops to Ukraine, and also calls it his strategic goal to prevent Russia from winning the war.
