French President Emmanuel Macron has stated that he will definitely pay a visit to Ukraine.
Source: Macron in an interview with Ukrainian media, European Pravda reports.
Details: Macron noted that his visit will take place when “specific proposals and specific solutions” are ready.
Quote: “I will tell you absolutely sincerely – I will definitely come. I have a rule: to make my visit as useful as possible for Ukraine… I will come to Ukraine with specific proposals and specific solutions,” he said.
The French president added that his visit would mean “a strong message and new directions in terms of cooperation”.
Background:
- On Monday, the Élysée Palace announced that French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Ukraine in the coming weeks.
- The French president had announced his intention to visit Ukraine in February to finalise an agreement on security guarantees. No specific date was given at the time. Later, the visit was postponed for “security reasons”.
- On 16 February, during the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Paris, Macron said that he had not abandoned his intention to visit Ukraine and would do so in the near future.

A few short weeks ago, Macron was seen as just another Western jellyfish. How things have changed. Now, there are great expectations preceding his visit to Ukraine. I hope that his words will be backed up by something rock solid. God knows, Ukraine can’t defend itself or Europe with only hot gases.
It’s a crying shame that not more Western leaders have found their courage.
So far Macron only found empty words. I believe in instant action, not bubbles.

I like Faxe, but it’s very hard to say which beer is best. I’ve tasked some excellent beers in small places in Germany from small breweries that nobody has ever heard of.

Actually, I don’t like that sort of beer. I just mentioned it because it’s strong.
I don’t drink a lot of Beer these days, but I do like a well kept Greene King IPA or Manns Brown.

Earlier today I posted an article from the FT entitled:
“The west can still save Ukraine”, which unfortunately no one seems to have seen so far.
The very fact that an article with such a heading can even exist shows how dire the situation is.
Anyway, I will repost the comment I made to that, because it seems prescient to the above article:-
Macron can make himself the undisputed leader of Europe in an instant. All he needs to do is: Send two mechanised brigades, with air and ground support, to Odesa and/or Mykolaiv. It’s the right thing to do and I’m sure that others will then be shamed into following. If he starts the preparations now, they will be operational by summer.
It would be a historical decision for France and a good contribution to reparations for a) blocking Ukraine’s Nato membership and b) putting insane amounts of business putler’s way while he was in the process of attempting to destroy Ukraine.
At the moment, France contributes 0.07% of its GDP to Ukraine.
In comparison:
Germany : 0.57%
UK : 0.55%.
USA : 0.32%
The West has conducted a clown show from the very start, scradge.
If your solutions doesn’t involve huge explosions, with orcs flying everywhere, it’s not going to be a good solution. The West need to realise, and state that they are going to defeat mafia land by any means possible.
