He called on the CIS countries to stick together.

Self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the collapse of Russia will affect all other CIS states.

“A situation may develop in which any of us – the state – cannot do without this unity. And if we do not understand this today, they will deal with us separately. But if Russia collapses, we will all be drawn into this funnel,” BELTA quotes Lukashenko as saying .

At a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS member states, he said that against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine, many leaders and security officials began to look for some kind of benefit for themselves.

“Based on my experience, I will say that life is so turbulent now and very changeable. Many are looking for benefits, including moving away from our general development trend created in Soviet times. Some [think]: “Let’s stay away from Russia, it is under sanctions. We are somehow afraid of falling under them and so on… We are looking for our own benefit.” Don’t do this,” Lukashenko said.

The role of Belarus in the war

Recall that at the end of June, the Belarusian Ministry of Defense announced an increase in tension on the border with Ukraine. They accused the Ukrainians of amassing troops and weapons.

In mid-July, Lukashenko declared that tensions had been “eliminated.” He ordered troops to be withdrawn from the country’s southern borders to their permanent bases.

On August 6, the Russians announced that Ukrainian troops had broken through into Russian territory. A number of Telegram channels blamed Lukashenko for this – allegedly, the operation was possible because Ukraine withdrew its forces from the border with Belarus, not fearing an attack from its territory.

Typical russia. Always blame anyone and everyone, except the dwarf bastard that started this war.

    • I think that Ukraine could hold back Loony’s tin soldiers even with a skeleton crew on the border. Especially now, with the massive defenses in place. It’s also quite likely that they wouldn’t even follow any orders to attack Ukraine. They simply aren’t the willing, brainless, inebriated meat puppets like those in mafia land.
