Self-proclaimed Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said he would petition Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize if he could end the war in Ukraine.
At a wood-chopping championship, he compared Trump to a “bulldozer” who won despite being “shot at, crushed, and wanted to be jailed.” He called Kamala Harris a heroic woman before whose election “America was not mature.”
Lukashenko noted that the American politician has promised many times to stop wars, including in Ukraine:
“If he does this, we will send a petition for the Nobel Prize, he will be awarded it for doing a good deed. There is hope that he will keep his promises. But America is not Belarus: they may forget or something else.”
