Alexander Lukashenko, who was declared the elected president of the country by the CEC of Belarus after the elections, named the composition of the new government. BelTA informs about it.
Roman Golovchenko was reappointed as Prime Minister. This appointment must be formally approved by the lower house of the Belarusian parliament.
The composition of the cabinet remained practically unchanged. In particular, the ministers of the power block retained all their posts.
The previous government of Roman Golovchenko resigned on 15 August. This is a formal requirement of the Belarusian constitution.
Golovchenko was first appointed prime minister at the end of May.
