Alexander Lukashenko threatened to deploy “supernuclear” weapons on the territory of Belarus in case of aggravation of relations with neighboring countries.

He stated this during a visit to the Osipovichi training ground, where Russian-Belarusian “allied” exercises are taking place.

When asked by journalists about the likelihood of creating Russian military bases in the Republic, Lukashenka replied that he had repeatedly spoken about the absence of such a need: “They are not needed here from a military point of view. Why are there bases here?… The Western parts of the Russian Federation will support us here – this is a day or two Why spend billions of dollars and create additional bases?

At the same time, in response to a clarification about the missile forces, Lukashenka said that they were deployed on the territory of Belarus and Russia.

Lukashenka added that after the agreement with Russia, several training centers “for the development of modern weapons” were created in the Republic. The dictator also noted that Belarusians and Russians now have a “common army”.

But nuclear weapons, the politician claims, will be deployed in Belarus “only in case of threats from the West.”

“If necessary, if such stupid, stupid steps are taken by our opponents and rivals, we will deploy not only nuclear weapons, but also super-nuclear, promising ones in order to protect our territory,” Lukashenka said.

  1. The response to this would be to reintroduce Ukraine’s nukes. I’m not sure your boss would want that.
