Lukashenka ordered to close all striking enterprises

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko ordered the closure of enterprises whose workers are participating in strikes. He made such a statement, speaking at a rally of his supporters in Grodno.

“I ask the governor, chairmen of executive committees, if someone does not want to work, do not force them. Do not. We still will not force them and will not persuade them. But if the enterprise does not work – from Monday the lock on the gate. We will stop, ”Lukashenka said, adding that when“ people cool down, ”it will be possible to make a decision who to invite back to work.

Mass strikes at the largest Belarusian enterprises, including BelAZ, MAZ, Minsk Tractor Plant, Minsk Wheeled Tractor Plant, Grodno-Azot, began a few days after the presidential elections. The participants in the strikes demand an end to police violence against protesters and the holding of fair elections.

Lukashenko himself has repeatedly argued that strikes are few in number and that only a few dozen people join them in large factories with thousands of workers.

  1. He lost his last working braincell. Be careful…your popularity wil plunge from 3% to 2,4%…………………………….moron.

  2. Luka is desperate. He is also running out of options.
There is no turning back. Too much has already happened, too much damage between people and leader already has occurred. I’m waiting for his position to crumble right before his very eyes.

  3. Belarus must go busted, that’s better than give the power to legally elected Svetlana! According Luka’s brains.
