Enemy calculations for Shahed launches are based in the Balaklava area, says Svitan.

In the afternoon on Monday, July 1, 2024, loud explosions rang out in the temporarily occupied Crimea . Columns of black smoke were visible in the sky.

There is still no official information from the Ukrainian military about the consequences of the attack on Crimea. At the same time, military expert, pilot-instructor, colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the reserve, Roman Svitan, suggested on Channel 24 that the target of the attack could have been the Shahed launchers, since the explosions were heard in the area that the occupiers often use for launching drones.

The expert added that there are Russian submarines near the Balaklava bays. Enemy calculations for launching “Shakhed” are also based in the Balaklava area.

“This is precisely one of our main tasks. That is, the destruction of these launchers. I think that they were hit precisely,” Svitan said.

“As we managed to find out, the explosion and fire were in a military unit near the village of Flotske (Karan) in Balaklava. At the moment, the fire has been extinguished, and what exactly exploded is still unknown,” Crimean Wind reported later.
