Paul Livingston believes the billionaire lacks an understanding of the threats.
Lockheed Martin UK CEO Paul Livingston has criticized American billionaire Elon Musk’s words that the use of unmanned aerial vehicles makes F-35 fighters obsolete.

In an interview with The Telegraph , he said the company has hundreds of orders from 19 countries because the capabilities of these fighters still exceed “anything else.” According to Livingston, Musk is wrong on this point because he does not fully understand the threat.
Alluding to the threat of military conflict with China and the Russian Federation, he said that the F-35 is capable of penetrating enemy air defenses. In addition, they are more difficult to detect, and the software allows them to receive data from the battlefield and exchange it with other military assets, which is currently not possible with unmanned aircraft.
“Before the F-35, if I was going to fly a mission into a similar country to strike a well-defended target, I would need at least 16 aircraft. Now I can fly the same mission with four F-35s without support. So the savings are huge. And you know, the Chinese are still building their J20 jets. Maybe Elon thinks they’re idiots too because they’re manned fighters?”
Livingston also howled that the F-35 program, which costs the United States about $12 billion a year, is “ridiculously good value for money.”
Musk criticizes the F-35
The prominent businessman has repeatedly criticized the US F-35 program. Recently, US President-elect Donald Trump announced that he would appoint him as head of the Department of Government Efficiency .
Musk later said that only “idiots” would continue to build F-35 fighters after the advent of cheaper unmanned aerial vehicles that can be combined into “flying swarms.”
The statement attracted a lot of attention because the US Department of Defense’s spending on the F-35 program could fall under the billionaire’s area of responsibility.

Whose company would get the contract to build these swarm of drones, I wonder?
And, no doubt, President Musk would be building those drones in factories in China, after successfully forcing the US Congress to drop the bill that included a provision to screen and regulate U.S. investments in China.
“Musk is wrong on this point because he does not fully understand the threat.”
Muskovitz is wrong with many things. He should just concentrate on selling his over-priced and ugly vehicles to the gullible suckers of the world and stay out of matters he is wholly unqualified to meddle with.
This is what happens when the US presidency is reduced to being a buyable commodity. The owner can do such crap as described above.
I fuck anything unmanned since it will kill men, not other unmanned crap. Artificial intellingence is for those who don’t have brains. We Anglos do have brains, some of ours simply forget to use them from time to time…
