Ukraine launched a surprise offensive into the Russian border region of Kursk on Aug. 6, 2024, capturing over two dozen towns and villages in the most significant cross-border attack on Russian soil since World War II. President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday evening praised the  Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) for continued successes in their week-old incursion across the northeastern border into the Russian region of Kursk, reporting that “as of today, our troops have advanced in some areas by one to three kilometers.”

Zelensky said that, according to AFU Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky, Kyiv’s forces now control 74 Russian towns and had taken over about 40 square kilometers on Tuesday. On Monday, Kyiv measured its push into Russian territory at about 1,000 square kilometers (about 386 square miles.)

AFP called the Kursk counter-invasion “the biggest attack by a foreign military on Russian soil since World War II.”

US President Joe Biden on Tuesday said the incursion was giving Russian President Vladimir Putin a “real dilemma.”

At a meeting with Zelensky on Tuesday, Lithuanian Defense Minister Laurynas Kasčiūnas relayed his nation’s intel that Moscow is relocating troops from neighboring Kaliningrad to combat the Ukrainian incursion in Kursk.

“We are now seeing them redeploying their troops to Kursk,” the Baltic defense minister said, addressing the Ukrainian leader. “I’ve been saying to the Lithuanian people: look at how Ukrainians are fighting for you, and because of their struggle, Russia needs to withdraw its troops from Kaliningrad. We’re even calling it the ‘demilitarization’ of Kaliningrad, and it’s happening thanks to the bravery of your military. Thanks to your decisions.”

The minister also announced at the meeting that his country would be sending a package to Kyiv this month that includes short-range air defense systems, armored vehicles, and anti-drone equipment.

  1. Lithuania … that tiny little country on the Baltic Sea. If only the US, Germany, Britain, and France could have as much courage. All four combined can’t even match tiny little Lithuania.

  2. Your so misguided Onlyfacts, they send a little bit of Military equipment and you call them Hero’s? Meanwhile the U.S. sends billions of dolllars of Military aide to Ukraine. I think you took too many head blows.
Now if Lithuania joined the fight and sent troops that would be worthy, but that’s not happening. Only a tiny little package in the back of a semi trailer is all you get from them.

  3. This Chart you presented is the GDP of money allocated to fund the way. Lithuania’s GDP is roughly 22 million. Compared to the U.S., the GDP is 23 Trillion.
    So let’s do the math 1.43 %of 22 million is roughly=315,000
    The US donates .35% of 23 Trillion, that’s roughly = 80 Million dollars. $80,000,000,000

Before both of you run your mouth, read what the chart represents and do the math.

    • I don’t know why you can’t read a simple chart. Just drop it, you’re too overwhelmed by it.

      • Bilateral aid allocations to Ukraine as a share of 2021 donor country gross domestic product (GDP) between January 24, 2022 and June 30, 2024, by country . Perhaps you should read, it’s obvious you can figure out what this simple chart means let alone calculate the GDP.

        • You are just too thick-headed to learn anything. Why don’t you just give it up? You’re making yourself more into a fool with each additional post.

  4. This is just OF and Red, the definition of GDP. Now if you really want to look stupid, this is over a period of 2 years. So I’ll let you try to break that down smart guy

    • You still haven’t learned how to read a chart. If you’re so smart, then explain the huge discrepancy between where the US falls on this chart and Lithuania. Even my dog understands this.
Just a reminder, the time period is irrelevant. The bottom line is what counts.

      • Jesus , your dumber that I thought. The charts represents the GDP percentage, it’s not stating actual dollars and cents.
It represents the % of GDP donated to your cause.
The already did the math for you.
Lithuania has a GDP of 22million, the amount of $ donated to Ukraine is 1.43 % of the country’s GDP (22,000,000 ) or less than half a million U.S. dollars. a higher percentage doesn’t mean it’s more money. It’s just what the country allocated to fund your war.

The U.S. GDP is 27 Trillion, 27,000,000,000,000. The United States donated .35% of that 27 Trillion. This is a rough estimate but that’s a little over 1 billion dollars.

Ya the U.S. donated .35% of 27 Trillion.
Lithuania donated 1.43% of 22 million.

You keep runnin your mouth because your embarrassed. you have no idea what that charts represents , you look at a % and assume 1,43 equates to more money than .35%

Own your mistake , I’d like to hear your version of this chart. This should be good. Go on OF , please educate us.

        • A bag of rocks is smarter than you. Maybe you should get in contact with Statista to tell them about their chart being misleading.

  5. You still haven’t proved a thing Onlypuss, all your capable of is name calling and lack mental capacity to read a simple chart . 😂😂😂
