In recent days, the Russians have been making statements that their occupation forces are allegedly ready to attack Kharkiv. This information is not true.
Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, wrote about this in his Telegram channel. He emphasized that all of this is just the stories of Russian military intelligence officers.
“All the stories of their military commanders that they almost started moving towards Kharkiv are lies,” Kovalenko wrote.
He reported that in the north of the Kharkiv region, the Russians are conducting combat reconnaissance using small assault groups.
The main efforts of the enemy in the Kharkiv region are currently focused on the Kupyansk direction, the head of the Central Defense Center added.
We previously wrote that the Russian occupation forces have begun to accumulate a large number of personnel in the Volchansk direction of the front in the Kharkiv region. The enemy is conducting daily assault operations, mostly during daylight hours.
As OBOZ.UA reported, the other day in the Western media there was news that Russian troops allegedly concentrated an additional 50 thousand people near the borders of the Kharkiv region. This information did not correspond to reality, as stated in the OTU “Kharkiv”. Russian troops did not additionally move the 50 thousand troops from anywhere, emphasized the military-political observer of the group “Information Resistance” Oleksandr Kovalenko.
He spoke about the Kursk, Belgorod, and Bryansk Russian groups. None of them has the potential and capabilities to capture the regional centers, Sumy and Kharkiv, just as there is no possibility of capturing one of these regions.
Kovalenko added that the Kursk and Belgorod groups can afford both to continue the previously launched raid border operations (May 10, 2024 in the north of the Kharkiv region and February 27, 2025 in the Sumy region), and to open new locations only in the border zone.
Disinformation, propaganda, and lies are important tools of the mafia state. This has been known for many years. I don’t know why certain Western news outlets keep falling for them.
Or, are they creating clickbaits on purpose?
Most are just parrots that copy and paste whatever the Kremlinals say. Much like some Westerners that parrot whatever CNN, the WaPo or what ever god of ideology they carry water for on a given day. That is a lot easier than using your own mind to draw your own conclusions.
