Finnish company Wartsila, a leading manufacturer of marine engines, has suspended business with Russia, and Germany’s MAN Energy Solutions is renegotiating contracts, increasing trade pressure on Moscow .

Reuters informs about it .

Thus, Wartsila suspended all deliveries and sales of products to Russia and Belarus as part of the sanctions of the European Union.

“In this regard, training on the use of our engines and ship technologies for Russian legal entities has been discontinued,” the company said.

Two shipping company sources said MAN Energy Solutions has also suspended training on how to use its equipment in Russia.

A spokesman for MAN Energy Solutions said the company is in full compliance with the sanctions regime. In a separate statement, the company said that all existing contracts and orders related to Russia should be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Shipping industry sources told Reuters that, given the complexities of global maritime trade, it is not yet clear how Russian companies will be able to operate in the absence of multiple services.
