Le Pen accuses US of cruelty for cutting off military aid to Ukraine

Le Pen believes it is wrong that the US may stop providing aid to Ukraine.

The leader of the French far-right National Rally party, Marine Le Pen, has condemned the possible cessation of military aid to Ukraine by the administration of US President Donald Trump. She made this statement in an interview with Le Figaro .

“This is very cruel towards Ukrainian soldiers who are patriotically defending their country,” Le Pen said.

The publication recalled that the leader of the French far-right National Rally party generally held pro-Russian views and supported many of Trump’s statements. However, she believes it is wrong that the US could stop providing aid to Ukraine.

“In my opinion, the cruelty of this decision deserves condemnation,” she stressed.

In addition, Le Pen refrained from commenting on the disastrous meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Trump in the Oval Office on February 28.
