Kirill Dmitriev was seen in the French capital immediately after the meeting of the “coalition of the willing,” but the Elysée Palace denies any contact.
Kirill Dmitriev, Russia’s peace negotiator, was spotted in Paris on January 7, the day after the meeting of leaders of the so-called “coalition of the willing.” This was reported by the French newspaper Le Monde , citing an unnamed source.

According to the publication, Dmitriev was seen on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, near the Élysée Palace. However, the French presidential administration denied that the Kremlin representative visited the Élysée Palace after an international meeting attended by US Special Representative Steve Witkoff and the US president’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
A Le Monde source claims that Dmitriev was received in Paris at the US embassy, which is located next to the French presidential residence.
There have been no official comments from the US or Russia regarding the possible content of the contacts.
