The Russian Foreign Minister justifies aggression against Ukraine, claiming that Moscow allegedly did not violate the Budapest Memorandum, although it was Russia that destroyed its main security guarantees.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Russia allegedly does not violate the Budapest Memorandum, despite its full-scale war against Ukraine.

“It [the Budapest Memorandum – UNIAN] states that Ukraine, like other former Soviet republics that have renounced nuclear weapons, will receive the guarantees that nuclear states provide to non-nuclear states. That’s all. That’s all.

These guarantees say that nuclear weapons will not be used against non-nuclear states that are parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons,” Lavrov cynically stated in an interview with the Hungarian YouTube channel Ultrahang, according to the propaganda outlet RIA Novosti .

According to Lavrov, Kyiv itself allegedly violated OSCE principles regarding the rights of national minorities, democracy, and freedom of speech—and therefore Moscow does not consider its actions a violation of the agreements.

  1. To secure peace, Ukraine should demand Lavrov/putker/medvedev/Solovyov to be handed over to The Hague.

  2. Watching a pig take a dump is more enlightening than listening to what this horse has to neigh.
