Laura Loomer’s trip did more than change her own mind. By confronting Russian propaganda firsthand, she created space inside MAGA for conservatives to support Ukraine openly and gave them stronger arguments against the pro-Russia narrative.
She challenged claims about Ukrainian Nazis, Russia defending Christianity, Ukraine inevitably losing, and Moscow being a natural American ally. She did not convert all of MAGA—but she helped create a credible pro-Ukraine lane where one barely existed before.
