Alexi Navalny’s body is reportedly stolen.
I don’t understand why Ukrainian troops have been cut off in Avdiivka. Looks like the retreat had been badly planned and executed. This doesn’t reflect positively on Syrsky, who ordered it.
We don’t know what date this footage was taken. The 3rd assault brigade were sent in to help with the retreat. I doubt they were surrounded, these guys are very experienced.
I”ve read they defend the factory in the north, covering that flank to prevent a cut off. Reasonable enough. Still, apparently the 110th, those brave fighters who defended Avdiivka right from the start, didn’t get enough support for their retreat. This doesn’t look good.
Though there was a “plan” things don’t always “go down like that”. IMO things were telegraphed too much, the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade did much to block the path of the rashists in the north and saved many of their battle-buddies lives. There was a tight pocket that kept closing in the South which led to the capture and execution of at least 6 AFU Warriors. There have been rumors of other small groups, but I haven’t seen confirmation to the best of my recollection. Sounded like a few were captured and executed in the Robotyne Sector as well.
Thanks for the explanation, Sir Bill! Ok, this makes sense to me. No battle plan can cover all possibilities, that’s true.
