Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, commented on the decision by the UN International Court of Justice over the financing of terrorism by russia.
The comments of the head of Ukrainian intelligence were posted on the pages of the French newspaper ‘Liberation’.
It is about the decision of the UN International Court of Justice of January 31, 2024, in the case of “Ukraine vs russia”, where the aggressor was accused of violating the Convention on the Financing of Terrorism.
The court interpreted that russia cannot be recognized as a sponsor of terrorism, since the russian BUK missile, which in 2014 killed 298 civilian passengers and crew members of flight MH17, is a weapon, not money.
“This is a disgrace for the international judicial system, this court decision is a mistake and a disaster, the non-recognition of obvious facts will have very important consequences, first of all for many civilized countries,” said Kyrylo Budanov.
According to the DIU Chief, the corresponding ruling creates serious risks:
“[Turns out] if the aggressor state gives an air defence systems [to terrorists], but not money, and if those down a civilian Boeing, then, in principle, it won’t be terrorism,” Kyrylo Budanov said.
In May 2022, Senators Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) announced the introduction of the resolution calling on the Biden administration to designate Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism for its war on Ukraine and conduct elsewhere under Vladimir Putin. “Putin is a terrorist, and one of the most disruptive forces on the planet is Putin’s Russia,” said Graham, introducing the resolution.
Since then all we have heard is the sound of crickets from Blinken.
WTF happened to Graham?
He went from being a reliable supporter of Ukraine who went to Kyiv to see for himself what was happening, but then last December declared that the border must be secured first before any aid for Ukraine.
Then:
“he voted against moving forward with the foreign aid bill on Thursday because he said “we have not done all we can to secure our southern border.”
“We should not rush this process because Senators want to go on a break — it is too important,” Graham said in a statement.”
Graham is foremost a politician, then a human being, then everything else.
Prof Roman Sheremeta met him at a Ukrainian business event. He assured him of his full support for Ukraine.
Just weeks later, Roman was shocked and hurt that Graham had gone full Trump.
Fucking appalling.
These people are just cold-blooded snakes.

This makes Biden’s cowardice at calling a spade a spade even more pathetic.
The decisions made by the UN court aligns with the UN generally, that it is an inefficient, useless, and corrupt entity.
Well, it was a UN resoultion (#2166) that started the investigation of the shootdown. It had to be toned down a bit to overcome a Russian veto, though.
