Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has said all public transportation will be halted in the capital city of Kyiv from Monday, March 23, due to tightening of restrictive measures to address the outbreak of the novel COVID-19 coronavirus in Ukraine.
Only people working for pharmacies, hospitals, groceries, the State Emergency Service, law enforcement agencies and strategic enterprises, who hold special passes, will be able to use public transport, Klitschko said in a video address posted on Facebook on March 21.
The restrictions are not applicable to private vehicles.
Klitschko also called on the police to switch to an enhanced mode of security. He also urged Kyiv residents to stay at home and not walk in parks.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers on March 11 decided to introduce quarantine across Ukraine from March 12 to April 3.

No walking in the park? Not quite a healthy measure in my view.
It’s no restrictions so far in Sweden. When we’re out walking we keep a distance to other people, the same when we’re in the food store
Suzanna told me everybody has masks in the grocery store and people waiting in a line need to keep a two feet distance to each other. Since i’m quarantined i have no idea what’s happening outside. Begining of next month i may be allowed out again. So far my heart is burning and stumbling, i hope it will stay strong and working. 🇺🇸🇩🇰🇳🇴
Let’s hope you’re soon back, fit for fight again! 7 deceased so far in Norway, 16 in Sweden and 13 in Denmark
Thanks. You and Alina stay away from other people and keep disinfecting your hands when you come back from outside or after you touched money. 😉
Yes, we’re very careful after being out, we don’t take any chances. On Wednesday we need to drive to Örebro to get a new ID-card for Alina, I’m not looking forward to spend time in a public office right now together with a lot of other immigrants 🙁
Don’t practice “Social Distancing” like the Moskali did today…

No, be sure we don’t! I hope they all get the virus 😀
No way. None of them deserve the damned virus…well, maybe Kirill…….
I agree with Mike. They should let the people to go for walks in parks and other outdoor places where it is easy to keep a certain distance from other people.
Anyhow, my damned flight was canceled. Now, I must change my plans to visit Kiev. I do hope that this nightmare will soon end.
We had to postpone our visit to Dnipro too 😢
That sucks. 😕
As long as you maintain a distance of 2 meters from others, outdoor activities are fine. UV light is highly effective at killing germs
Because UVC rays have the shortest wavelength, and therefore highest energy, they are capable of killing bacteria and viruses, also called pathogens. … This is partly because UVC light can effectively sanitize hard-to-clean nooks and crannies
This was a cartoon in KyivPost.

LMFAO! 👍
Mother nature has sent us all to our rooms for being assholes.
I am not an asshole. Although a fascist, i am pro-abortion, pro-women, pro-climate, pro-animals, pro-environment, partly socialist and islamophobic. Maybe a new kind of National Socialist, but i don’t hate jews and i shit at Hitler – biggest idiot and catastrophe for white folks ever! 😎
You do know that it was just a joke referencing the damage that humans have done to the environment. I wasn’t trying to insult anyone.
I did not feel insulted, since i am not an asshole. 😂
Mike, reading what sort of person you are makes me realize that we could be twins!
That wouldn’t surprise me at all….except you don’t change your mind very often like Mike does, lmao…
